Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book - The Mowgli Stories
This was one of Audible’s biggest original dramas to date. I was delighted to be asked to oversee and develop both the master creative and promotional trailer for this release.
Based around the well known and loved story of ‘The Jungle Book’, Audible’s original audio dramatisation of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book - The Mowgli Stories, takes us deeper into the world of Mowgli and his companions. Starring Bill Bailey, Richard E. Grant, Colin Salmon, and Celia Imrie amongst others. The scene was set for an amazing audio experience.
I teamed up with my fantastic creative partner in crime Bart and we decided early on that the direction for the trailer should be one of a ‘behind the scenes’ approach. We wanted to show the thoughts and reasons behind the actor’s decisions to become involved with the project, especially as the drama was also raising awareness and donations for ZSL wildlife support.
We spent a day filming the wonderful Starring Bill Bailey , Richard E. Grant , and Colin Salmon, and then edited this to create a slightly longer and more interview based promotional.
The artwork was developed without the use of the cast for obvious reasons. We wanted to create an instantly engaging and eye catching cover that focused around the main characters in sophisticated and yet recognizable way.
The release was a huge success and was Winner of the 2016 Audie Award for Best Audio Drama as well as being Winner of the 2016 Audie Award for Excellence in Production.
